Housing Accommodations

Housing accommodations are available to students with disabilities.

Your care provider must complete the Verification Form for Housing  to accompany your housing accommodation request. Letters from care providers will be reviewed, but generally are not sufficient.

Important Dates

Incoming Students
We encourage incoming students to complete their housing accommodation request as soon as they have been accepted to the college. The 3-step interactive process to request the accommodation must be completed by May 1 to ensure the availability of approved housing accommodations by move-in day of the fall semester. Requests initiated after May 1 will be considered, but may not be accommodated for the fall semester.

Returning Students
Current/returning students must complete the 3-step interactive process initiating their request for a housing accommodation by February 1 to ensure availability of approved housing accommodations by move-in day. Requests completed after February 1 will be considered, but may not be accommodated for the fall semester.

Housing Review Team Meetings

The Housing Review Team reviews accommodation requests on a monthly basis. Students will receive an email notification from the Center for Student Success within two business days after the committee has reached a decision.

Requests submitted after August 1 will not be reviewed until after the start of the semester. If your request is placement-based, please plan to move into your originally assigned space. If your accommodation is approved, Residence Life will contact you if/when a space becomes available that meets the approved need.

For Emotional Support Animal requests, pets may only move to campus after formal approval. Bringing an animal to campus prior to approval will place you in violation of your housing contract. Our ESA Policy can be found here.

If you have a temporary or urgent medical need that prevents you from accessing your assigned housing, please contact both our office and Residence Life as soon as possible.
