Directory of Teacher Education Graduates
The purpose of the Teacher Education Program at Covenant College is to prepare competent and compassionate teachers who practice their profession according to biblical guidelines in diverse educational settings. Candidates develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become teachers who model life-long learning and faithful service to God as change-agents in society.
Procedures
The teacher candidates listed below will graduate on May 8, 2027. Upon graduation, they will be eligible for teacher certification in the state of Georgia, as well as certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Prospective employers are welcome to contact individual teacher candidates for information on their availability.
The Covenant College Teacher Education Program is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). An electronic credential file is created in the Spring for each candidate and is available to you upon request. Teacher Candidates with a Bachelors in Elementary Education (P-5)
Karis Armstrong
Karis is most interested in teaching K- 2nd grades (her primary preference being 2nd grade), but is open to teaching upper grades as well. Karis loves art, crafts, and nature. Karis volunteered with a literacy program at a multilingual school, has five years’ experience volunteering with Sunday school at her church for a variety of ages (K-5th), has volunteered at youth events at her church, and has worked as a babysitter and nanny. Karis hopes to get certified in Orton Gillingham and the Conscious Discipline behavior management approach.
Kennedy Barber
Kennedy would prefer to teach Kindergarten or 3rd grade. She is also interested in coaching volleyball.
Audrey Boerman
Audrey would prefer to teach 1st-5th grade general Education. She is fluent in Spanish and would love to use that in the classroom. She worked as a summer camp counselor for 4 years and started a Good News Club at a public elementary school near Covenant College. Audrey has tutored Elementary-aged kids for the past six years and has also worked as a substitute teacher in her hometown, her favorite being in Spanish Immersion classrooms.
Katie Clawson
Katie would prefer to teach 1st through 4th grade. She will graduate with a Sociology minor. Katie has worked as an America Reads Tutor, an aftercare teacher, a summer camp teacher, and has tutored ESL students through a local ministry that serves refugees and international neighbors.
Anna Fleming
Anna would prefer to teach 1st or 2nd grade, but is open to teaching older grades as well. She has a music minor and would love to be involved with any music or theatre programs at her future school. Anna has a variety of professional and volunteer experience. She has taught private piano lessons for over 6 years, worked at an aftercare program at a local Elementary School, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for 10 years, worked as a private tutor, worked at a private childcare center, assisted with homeschooling preschool-aged children, volunteered at a private Christian academy, and completed a summer teaching internship in Prague. She also loves to read.
Emma Fuller
Emma would prefer to teach 1st or 2nd grade. She loves all sports and is particularly passionate about basketball. Emma has worked at a summer reading camp at a local school and has completed a summer teaching internship in Prague.
Danielle Hawks
Danielle would prefer to teach 1st – 3rd grade. She has a minor in music (emphasis on piano) and enjoys singing with her family and in choir. Danielle would be interested in teaching Music, leading a choir, or accompanying students on piano. She also loves the outdoors and is interested in working with ESL students and/or Special Education students. She would be open to teaching overseas. Danielle has over 7 years of experience babysitting, has worked at a Daycare center for two years, and has volunteered at Vacation Bible School at her home church.
Abby Headley
Abby would prefer to teach Pre-K through 2nd grade. At her future school, she would be interested in helping plan events, working on the yearbook, or helping the theatre department with set design. Abby has worked as a Vacation Bible School teacher for four summers, as a Private Math Tutor and a High School Student Mentor.
Gracie Lacle
Gracie would prefer to teach 2nd grade. She would also love to coach softball. Gracie has worked at a summer reading camp at a local school.
Noel Poe
Noel is interested in teaching Pre-K through 3rd grade. She particularly enjoys History and Social Studies. Noel has taught Sunday school at her church for a variety of ages (K-5th) and has interned for her home church youth group. She has also served as a full-time nanny for a total of five summers.
Abby Rosine
Abby is open to teaching any elementary grade or subject. She has over six years of tutoring experience and has also worked as a Teacher’s Aid and Aftercare Worker. She is fluent in Spanish and has experience working with ELL families. Abby’s interests include baking, painting, and hands-on learning.
Cate Rowan
Cate is open to teaching any grades, but she is most interested in 1st through 4th grades. She has a passion for teaching reading and ELA. Cate is also interested in coaching soccer. Cate worked at a camp for children with special needs during the summers of 2022, and 2024-2026.
Delaney Stirm
Delaney would prefer to teach Kindergarten through 3rd grade. She would also be interested in coaching volleyball.
Bailey Templeton
Bailey would prefer to teach Pre-K through 2nd grade. She would be interested in coaching soccer and being involved in any home economics classes or clubs.
Emerson Tillery
Emerson would prefer to teach 1st through 4th grades. She would also be interested in coaching Cross Country or Track & Field. Emerson has worked a summer day camp and a summer intensive program at two different elementary schools and has also worked as a nanny.
Teacher Candidates with a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree
Gabriel Allen
Art, P-12
Gabriel graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a BFA in Graphic Design. He is currently teaching Digital Art at a private Christian school in Georgia. He is also serving as the Yearbook Adviser, Assistant Varsity Swim Coach, and Assistant Middle School Swim Coach.
Cora Bailey
Biblical Studies*ACSI certification only
Cora graduated summa cum laude from Covenant College with a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies. Cora would love to teach middle or high school Bible, with high school being her preference.
Jacob Eldridge
Computer Science, P-12
Jacob graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in Computer Science and a Math minor. While an undergraduate, Jacob worked as a math tutor. He is currently teaching 8th-12th Computer Science at a private Christian school in Tennessee. Jacob would also be interested in coaching tennis, and/or rock climbing.
Caroline Fox
English Language Arts, 4-8
Caroline graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in Human Development and Family Science and a Sociology minor. She is interested in teaching 4th-5th grade English Language Arts and would also enjoy coaching softball and/or basketball. Caroline has experience as an aftercare volunteer at her high school, has tutored middle grade students in math, and has taught Sunday school at her church.
Jadyn Patton
Mathematics, 6-12
Jadyn graduated cum laude from Covenant College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (concentrations in Mathematics, Education, and Business). Jadyn is currently working as a Middle School Math Teacher at a private Christian school in Missouri. Jadyn prefers to teach Algebra, but is open to teaching any middle or high school math. She would be interested in coaching softball or getting involved with outdoor recreation clubs, particularly rock climbing. Jadyn has three years’ experience as a math tutor, spent a month as an ESL Intern in South Korea, and completed a teaching internship in Prague.
Addie Rogers
English, 6-12
Addie graduated cum laude from Covenant College with a B.A. in English and minors in Education and Psychology. Addie is currently working as the Middle School Academic Support Paraprofessional (focusing on reading support) at a private Christian school in Tennessee. She enjoys working behind-the-scenes with theatre productions and has 3 years’ experience as the props coordinator at Covenant College. Addie also worked at a summer intensive program focused on reading intervention at her current place of employment.
Josh Tinker
Social Studies, 4-8
Josh graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in Education Studies and a History minor. He would prefer to teach 4th-12th grade math or social studies. Josh has worked as a basketball coach for the past two years and would also be open to coaching soccer.
