CARE
CARE (Communicate, Access, Resource, Educate) Team
The CARE team (Communicate, Assess, Resource, Educate) at Covenant College is a multi-disciplinary, campus wide group that exists to improve community safety and well-being. The mission of the CARE team is to identify, assess, and respond to concerns and/or disruptive behaviors of students who struggle academically, emotionally, or psychologically, or who present a risk to the health or safety to themselves or other members of the campus community.
The CARE team will serve the campus community by focusing on prevention and early intervention in situations involving members of the community who are displaying dangerous, disruptive, threatening, distressed, or concerning behaviors. The team will assess and review reports of incidents and referrals involving our students and employees and recommend actions and interventions according to college policy. In addition, the team will work to link and support at risk individuals with campus and community support, and will educate the campus community. The team will regularly monitor and review students who have displayed disruptive or concerning behavior until the case is resolved.
