George Robertson '88

 

At Covenant, he held the roles of resident assistant and student body president—and the unofficial title of chief prankster. Today George Robertson ’88 is senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia, and vice chairman of Covenant College’s board of trustees and is active in equipping future leaders of the PCA.

 

Before moving to Augusta, he ministered for fifteen years at St. Louis’s Covenant Presbyterian Church, where under his pastoral leadership the church grew from 60 to 600 and, with a sister church, planted another congregation.

 

George has earned M.Div., M.Th., and Ph.D. degrees, has taught at Covenant Theological Seminary, and currently teaches worship and preaching classes at Erskine Theological Seminary. With Mary Beth McGreevy, he has authored several Bible studies, including Deuteronomy—More Grace, More Love: Living in Covenant with God.

 

George and his wife, Jackie, have four children.
