Young Alumnus of the Year - 2008

John Sweet '00 was named Young Alumnus of the Year at Homecoming, 2008.

 

Taking a bold step, John Sweet ’00 moved his small business to a depressed part of Chattanooga with his sights set on being a catalyst for neighborhood growth. His courage paid off, as both retail and corporate sales at Niedlov’s Breadworks have increased significantly, and the Main Street area continues to develop. Last year John was runner-up for the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year Award and was featured in Chattanooga magazine. He is a loyal supporter of Covenant—and still plays in the alumni soccer games. John and his wife, Angela, have two sons.
