Student FAQ

We recommend you treat your interview like a job interview and suggest dressing in business or business casual. You will be walking around campus, so make sure your shoes are comfortable.

  • For the Maclellan Scholars Program, Wilberforce Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship, you will have an individual faculty interview and a group activity interview.
  • For the Music Scholarship, if you have not already auditioned you will be scheduled for an audition on Saturday. You will have two different times on your schedule: one for warm-up and one for your audition. You will not have a faculty interview or a group activity interview unless you are competing for another scholarship.
  • For the Visual Arts Scholarship, you will have an interview with one of our art professors and attend an art showcase and tour. You will only have a separate faculty interview and group activity interview if you are also competing for another scholarship.

By receiving an invitation to Scholarship Weekend, we already believe that you are an excellent fit for Covenant College and that you would grow and thrive here. The best way to prepare for your interviews is to be an expert on yourself and be ready to share your unique God-gifting, story and passions. We recommend coming into the weekend well rested and ready to meet new people.

The Finalist Banquet is designed to introduce you to other future Scots. It will include a nice dinner and program. You are invited to bring up to 2 adult guests with you to the banquet, and you must register your adult guests in advance. Parents and students are seated separately at the banquet.

Your parents do not have to be present for Scholarship Weekend. If your parents are interested in joining, you can view the schedule here and see the opportunities specifically marked for parents.

This is an invite only event, so you are not able to bring siblings or friends with you. If they are interested in Covenant College, they can sign up for a campus visit here.

We will send out scholarship results by the end of February.

Each Residence Hall room will have different sleeping arrangements. You will need to provide your own towels, toiletries and bedding. Once you have been notified of your assigned host, we recommend you text them to determine if you need to bring an air mattress.

We discourage late arrivals and early departures from Scholarship Weekend and evaluate this on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to your Admissions Counselor as soon as you are aware of this need, and we will do our best to accommodate.
