COVID-19 Weekly Update - week ending 1/14/22

Covenant Community: Welcome back to the start of a new semester.  In addition to what is listed below, we had 34 positive tests as a result of our re-entry testing in the days before the residence halls opened and classes started.  Due to new quarantine guidance from the Georgia Department of Public Health, we will likely see higher quarantine numbers this semester than last since close contacts to a positive case will now need to quarantine unless they meet one of the following criteria:

1. they received a COVID-19 booster shot;
2. it has been less than six months (and more than two weeks) since the final shot of their initial COVID-19 vaccination; or
3. they had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
