  • provide disease prevention, health promotion, and education services to help the college community develop healthy life-styles.

The Priesthill Center Name

The name Priesthill has its origins in Scottish history and was long associated as a haven of spiritual encouragement and refreshment for harried covenanters during the latter days of the Stewart persecutions. At Covenant College this name has been chosen to reflect the spirit with which the staff offers themselves to those in need of physical, emotional and spiritual strengthening.

The Priesthill Center Policy Regarding Class Absences

Health Services encourages all students to come by Health Services if they are sick.  Appointments are recommended to minimize wait time, however walk-ins are welcome.  By having a nurse practitioner on staff, minor illness and injuries can usually be treated on site.  Prescription medications, lab tests and diagnostic procedures can be ordered. At the conclusion of their appointment, a note can be provided for the student to share with their professors and/or work supervisor if they are too ill to attend.

It is the student’s responsibility to contact their professors when they are unable to attend classes.

If you have any questions about the Priesthill Center, or medical concerns as you enter Covenant, please contact Tina Holt at 706-419-1275 or by e-mail
