Start Your Journey

You're finally ready to begin your Covenant experience, but first, you'll want to familiarize yourself with life as a Scot and prepare for a successful college career. The New Scots Orientation (NSO) experience at Covenant is designed to help new students make the transition to life in our mountaintop campus community.

I wasn't sure what to expect from orientation, but it's been the most refreshing experience ever. I feel like I got to know the group of people I was with way better. Orientation has really upped my expectations of Covenant, and now I'm just really excited for classes to start.

Connect | June 3 - August 19, 2024

Get a jump start on the orientation process from the comfort of your own home with Connect, our online orientation program. Connect is a required step for new students that offers the opportunity to hear from student life leaders and faculty, take your placement tests, pre-register for classes, and more!

Parents will have their own online Connect opportunity as well.

Engage | July 11-13, 2024

Spend a few days on campus in our optional Engage pre-orientation session. This student only event includes opportunity to:

  • experience the great outdoor life on Lookout Mountain and the surrounding area
  • see your room for the first-time
  • connect with faculty advisors
  • complete placement testing
  • get a preview of life as a Scot!

*Note: A $150 fee is required for Engage

Embark | August 23-28, 2024

After Connect, every new student starts their Covenant experience on campus with Embark. In the week before classes start, you'll move in, meet the Covenant community, take care of final details before classes begin, and begin experiencing academic, spiritual, and professional development.
