Senior Art Exhibits

Two exhibits showcasing work from the senior integration projects (SIP) of graduating art majors will be held in the Covenant College art gallery on the second floor of Kresge Memorial Library, beginning April 10, 2013, through May 3, 2013.

Jeff Morton, professor of art, describes the works as artifacts based on each student’s SIP. “That’s a little different from the senior exhibit in the fall,” he says, “because the artifacts can be really different from what they’ve previously made in their time here. In the past we’ve had students who made films or animated films, they’ve created installation projects, they’ve done large-scale paintings and figurative art – a variety of things that are tied into the ideas expressed in their SIP.”

A reception for the first exhibit will be held at 7:00 p.m. on April 10, and the exhibit will be on display through April 21. The second exhibit will open with a reception at 7:00 p.m. on April 24, and will be open through May 3.

Admission is free and open to the public.
