Marriage, Family, & Community Conference
Beginning Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Covenant College will host its annual Marriage, Family, & Community Conference, featuring special guest speakers Henry and Kelly Knapp.
Henry and Kelly have been involved in ministry together for the past twenty-five years. They served at the University of Pittsburgh with the Coalition for Christian Outreach for many years and are involved in many facets of pastoral, speaking, counseling, and missions work. Henry earned his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where Kelly also earned a master’s in counseling. Henry went on to receive his PhD in theology from Calvin College.
The Knapps enjoy being the parents of two teenagers, Sabrina and Jason. Their family resides in Beaver, PA, where Henry serves as associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church. The Knapps are avid Steelers fans and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy biking, hiking, and canoeing.
In addition to their three chapel lectures, Henry and Kelly will share their experience and wisdom with students during a Thursday lunch and Thursday evening seminar on relationships in college.
“We are excited to welcome Henry and Kelly to the Covenant College campus,” said Chaplain Grant Lowe. “It is a great privilege to have two people who have had a profound impact on my life bring their ministry to our students and community.”
