Beginning Wednesday, February 20, 2013, Covenant will host its annual Marriage, Family & Community Conference, with Kevin DeYoung speaking.
A prolific author and blogger, DeYoung has been senior pastor of University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan, since 2004. He is the author of over half a dozen books, including Why We're Not Emergent and Just Do Something: How to Make a Decision Without Dreams, Visions, Fleeces, Open Doors, Random Bible Verses, Casting Lots, Liver Shivers, Writing in the Sky.
“Rev. Kevin DeYoung is deeply committed to the local church, and will speak on the role of the local church in cultivating healthy marriages, families and communities,” says Christiana Fitzpatrick, special programs and mentoring coordinator. “We are delighted that he will be on campus for three days, not only to speak on the centrality of the local church in the pursuit of godly relationships in chapel but also to interact with students in other settings.”
