Day of Prayer, February 8

Day of Prayer at Covenant College

On Tuesday, February 8, 2011, Covenant College will observe its bi-annual, campus-wide Day of Prayer.

So that all the Covenant community can participate, day classes will not be held.

The theme of this semester's Day of Prayer is Psalm 51:15-17:

"O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."

All students, staff and faculty are invited to two campus-wide gatherings:

Rock City Sunrise Gathering
6:45-8:00 a.m.
Free hot chocolate and doughnuts
Sponsored by Psi Chi honor society

Community Prayer Time
In Mills Hall First Lobby
10:00 a.m. - noon

Many other gatherings will be held by various campus groups throughout the day, to facilitate times of individual and corporate prayer.
